The World Premiere of the documetary film Ithuteng was Sunday, December 3, 2006 on Home Box Office at 6:30 pm ET/PT, with an encore presentation at 9:30 ET/PT. It will continue its run on HBO Family through the rest of December and in January 2007. Check out the official Ithuteng HBO site for more information and upcoming schedule.

Ithuteng producers Kip Kroeger and Charlie Ebersol and director Willie Ebersol met with Matt Lauer in New York on The Today Show on Friday, December 1st to discuss the film and the process of making it. The video clip is available. Go to the NBC website and check out the interview.

On a trip to Johannesberg, Oprah Winfrey screened the documentary and was so moved, she donated a total of $1.14 Million to the Ithuteng trust, and invited the filmmakers on the show to do a segment about their experience and about the school. Kip, Charlie, and Willie appeared on the show in February 2006 and it aired two months later.
